A recently opened and popular Marbella attraction is the La Cañada shopping centre, closed on Sundays except holidays. With a budget at hand, you can easily spend a whole day in this US-style “mall”. The restaurant area has about 10 specialized establishments so you won’t go hungry. The shops include exactly what might interest Marbella residents and visitors: brand names in everything from clothes to home decoration and gifts. A multiplex cinema showing the current blockbusters is also on-sight, so you can finish your day before the screen. A particularly important advantage of La Cañada is that it boasts one of Spain’s few FNAC mega technology, books, and music centers. The shop itself hosts weekly events in its exhibition space, and so has been added to the list of the main galleries and concert venues in Marbella, Costa del Sol.
