Marbella and the Golden Mile

To speak of Marbella is to speak of luxury, is to speak of the Golden Mile, or to speak of Marbella is to speak of Puerto Banus... however and most important, to speak of Marbella is to speak of a tourist place par excellence on the Costa del Sol, Andalusia, Spain and almost of entire Europe.

Marbella is famous for its beaches and for its vast offers on hotels and apartments and bungalows. It is a big town with approx. 200.000 inhabitants. It faces the sea and the sierra La Concha, emblem of the Costa del Sol and of Marbella.

However, Marbella, is mainly a tourist centre. On one hand, this town has grown in the past 20 years thanks to its massive tourist income, people who like to pass their holidays in this area and on the other hand, for its residential tourism, people who stay all year due to the magnificient climate, the fantastic infrastructure and the many possibilities Marbella offers. Marbella is today a cosmopolitan town which are living in together in harmony local Spaniards and people from all over the world like Germans, English, French, italians, Dutch, Asians and many more nationalities are today residentials in Marbella. Golf and its -casares-y-estepona,Marina are no doubt magnets for a great number of visitors to this town.

From its historical heritage are to be pointed out the Arab, Roman and Christian remains which are encountered on specific places of the town.
